In manufacturing AIM SolarFuse™, thin-film photovoltaic
laminates are fused to the surface of the metal roof panel
substrates. The panel/laminate bond that’s created has
been tested and proven to withstand winds of 160 mph.
The flexibility and durability of these BIPV laminates
makes them ideal for metal roofs, where expansion,
contraction and curving are considerations. Unlike
polycrystalline photocells that are heavy and fragile,
SolarFuse™ requires no roof penetrations and no
additional structural support. In fact, you can walk
on the SolarFuse™ laminates, which maintains the
roof’s overall aesthetics and serviceability.
And, when it comes to generating electricity,
AIM SolarFuse™ BIPV laminates, manufactured by
United Solar Ovonics, achieve higher relative efficiency
under high temperatures and low light, compared to any

A Complete System
When you specify AIM SolarFuse™ you get the Complete
System. This includes all schematics and specifications
for wiring and electrical components for an electrical
subcontractor to implement. Upon commissioning of
the system, your SolarFuse™ roof system will begin
generating clean, renewable electric power. Any excess
power produced is sent directly into the power grid through
the building’s electric meter. |
